Butterscotch Cream Roll-Up

This months Cake Slice Bakers selection was Butterscotch Cream Roll-Up, spongy white cake rolled up in a layer of butterscotch flavored whip cream and almonds! Divine! Super excited about this one, and since I had all the ingredients on hand, I was on it!

The sauce was absolutely my favorite part of the cake! I'm definitely going to make this sauce again and enjoy over  ice cream, even topping brownies with this would be heavenly!

I had no problem at all with the recipe. I did choose to leave the whisky out. This is a cake I will be making again. My husband loved it!

Anabel your cake looks so delicious. I actually just enjoyed the last of my sauce tonight over some vanilla ice cream, and was so sad to see it go. This will definitely be on my list to make again soon.

I may make this one later, just couldn't get to it right now. So glad that you mentioned you left the whiskey out and it was fine, I was wondering if it would be. Looks delish!

Oh Anabel after the tough time you've been having this cake was a success. I have always liked the look of a roll but never actually tried it... Great to see this cake rolls up nicely! Hazel x

Wow Anabel! You never cease to amaze me! Thanks for your passion and support! Love your cake! :) Great job like usual! (it was a lot of fun talking about this cake -and lots of other stuff- over the phone with you!)

With all the stuff going on in your world - you still came through with a great looking cake!

ps: I left out the whiskey too!

Great job Anabel, as always.

I added the whiskey to the sauce but couldn't really taste it, so it's good to have options and can make it either way.
