The Best Damn Lemon Cake


The Best Damn Lemon Cake is what I chose to bake this month with the Cake Slice bakers. After all the holiday baking I did I was ready for something refreshing! 


 A pretty simple recipe to make, and the results are delicious! Don't plan on eating this cake as soon as it cools. Maida suggests letting it stand 12 to 24 hours before eating. A total torture for me. I agreed to stick to the instructions. 


The cake was perfect! It was dense and full of flavor, and the glaze, oh my goodness that glaze! I snacked on this cake all day long until it was gone! Loved it!

I am terrible at waiting to try baked goods, so the wait would have killed me! I suppose it would have been a good exercise in will power though. This looks delicious!

I didn't wait, I ate some warm with the glaze then a couple of days later, both times were fabulous. Glad you enjoyed it Anabel.
