Kansas City Chocolate Dream

This month my Cake Slice bakers choice is Kansas City Chocolate Dream! I was quickly drawn to the selection because of the low fat content. Trying to keep things a little lighter, the Holidays weren't very kind.

The cake was very simple to make. I swapped the walnuts out with pecans, trying to use up ingredients that were left from the Holidays. The cake was very rich, and only a sliver was enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. The pudding glaze gets better the next day. Its absolutely decadent!
You may find the recipe here.
Please visit the Cake Slice Bakers to see what selection they baked up!

hmmm.. I must have done something wrong with mine. I don't know what but mine did not look like yours. That chocolate topping was exactly what I was expecting, but not what I got. How very odd. Your does look incredible though! I wish I had swapped out the walnuts for pecans too.. Uuuugghh. Back to the drawing board! Hazel x

That is a scrumptious and decadent cake! You have good results there as always! Fingers crossed for you for the baking program! I remember baking a similar cake to this (earlier on at TCS) and that was delish too!

Such a delightfully decadent cake! Perfect topping and love the pecans. I would have been tempted to throw in some bourbon, but that might have messed up the topping. Don't know how you stuck to a thin slice. it looks so good.
