Boston Cream Cupcakes #TheCakeSliceBakers

For this months Cake Slice bake I chose Boston Cream Cupcakes. It’s been quite some time since I last made this dessert, and since the opportunity arose, I took it!
Boston Cream Pie is an American Classic, and America’s Test Kitchen has made it easy for us to make this delicious dessert in our own kitchen!

The mixing technique of this batter results in a moist delicious crumb! The yellow cake was flavorful, and loved the texture. The aroma coming from the oven while baking was heavenly!

The custard was super easy to make. Loved the thickness and creaminess of the custard. Absolutely delicious! I couldn’t resist piping extra custard on top of the cupcake after filling the center. It was just too delicious not to!
The ganache was just as delicious and easy to put together, loved it! My husband isn’t a huge chocolate fan, but these cupcakes were one of his favorites I’ve made so far! They were packed with flavor, yet light enough to enjoy more than one at a time!

Each month The Cake Slice Bakers are offered a selection of cakes from the current book we are baking through.  This year it is The Perfect Cake from America's Test Kitchen #atkcake.  We each choose one cake to bake, and then on the 20th - never before - we all post about our cake on our blogs. There are a few rules that we follow, but the most important ones are to have fun and enjoy baking & eating cakes!

Follow our FacebookInstagram, and Pinterest pages where you can find all of our cakes, as well as inspiration for many other cakes. You can also click on the thumbnail pictures below to take you to each of our cakes, or visit our blogwhere the links are updated each month. If you are interested in joining The Cake Slice Bakers and baking along with us, please send an email to thecakeslicebakers at gmail dot com for more details.

The choices this month were Chocolate-Espresso Dacquoise, Blitz Torte, Bananas Foster Cake, and Boston Cream Cupcakes.
